Musicians for a Cause
and the Moore Center
have created the most
comprehensive
compilation of music in
the world focused on
bringing compassion,
love, awareness and a
touch of humor to the
issues around aging.

We're using music to
inspire people to become
Life in the Years
Champions
and get
involved in supporting
our nation's elderly.
Thanks to all the
artists who
participated in this
project, and a special
thanks to
Natalie
Merchant
and
Livingston Taylor for
their contributions to
this project!

The Life in the Years initiative is focused on finding innovative programs that enable
seniors to remain in their community in a safe, secure and sustaining way. Foster
Care for Elderly is an example of one such promising program and it's the first one
offered under this initiative.

If you have a program that's worth replicating we'd love to hear about it!

We Need Your Help!

Life in the Years is built on a foundation of music with messages about aging. The Life
in the Years music compilation includes two CDs of inspiring songs from 35 independent
artists, as well as a touching ballad from
Natalie Merchant and a beautiful duet from
Livingston Taylor with Carly Simon.

As Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful people can
change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

We need just 500 people per state who care enough about our elderly to join our "small
group of thoughtful people".
These are our Life in the Years Champions. A Champion
is someone who agrees to sell just 20 CDs - $300 - to help fund this initiative.

To become a Champion visit the Life in the Years Champions website and create a
personal page. It's easy, and you can not only support Life in the Years, but you can
also direct 20% of your fundraising effort to any other cause that's important to you.

Life in the Years is more than just caring for our elderly - it's about creating awareness
of how our society views them. They have lots to contribute and can play a key role in
preserving our country's values and principles and we need to embrace their world.
Here's a touching video of how one issue around aging affects lives. We'd
appreciate your help in sharing it to create more awareness:
Life in the Years is a grassroots initiative to create awareness and support for our
nation's elderly. Our goal is to simply
Create More Life in the Years. We use music to
create awareness and generate financial support for nationwide replication of innovative
ideas that enhance the lives of our elderly.

One of our first programs under this initiative is national
Foster Care for Elderly. Many
seniors who can no longer live alone and have nowhere else to go could experience a
better quality of life by living with a caregiving family in their community.

We're also encouraging support for innovative ideas such as Wii Love Seniors and Senior
Wish
programs, as well as some national organizations that work closely at the
community level. Your support of Life in the Years can help one of these, or any other
program you feel passionate about:

Wii Love Seniors - to promote socialization and fitness in senior communities.
Senior Wish Programs - many states have wonderful programs that need help.
Alzheimer's Association - advancement of research, care and support for families.
Meals on Wheels -providing meals to elderly, homebound, disabled, frail & those at risk.
Visiting Nurses Association - home healthcare and hospice providers.
